For Christmas I received "Lord of the Flies"

I had never read this book and always wanted to. I just finished it and it was fantastic. Piggy!!!

I took the Maddy and Casey to the movies and on the way home we stopped by the Donut Bistro on Pyramid. The crumb cake is my favorite.

Home for the holidays. We stayed home for Christmas this year. Nice and quiet.

My oldest daughter is practicing for the driving test she scheduled later next month. So, as her passenger (I should be paying attention to the road but am not) I whipped out the iphone and with the lens app and one of settings I got this great photo of the drive between my house the the city.

I have discovered NETFILX on the XBOX 360

The girls have wired up NETFLIX on the XBOX and it is good. I love this thing. My friends have had this for years but it took me a while.

$12 for a movie, un-believable

I went to the movies, even the matinee, and the movie that I went to see was only available in the new XD Extreme Digital Cinema for $12 a ticket. The screen is 70' x 40' and all new leather stadium chairs.  I believe that the seating is lined with sub woofers and there are speakers everywhere in the ceiling, side and rear.

I needed to get a new front crown so the dentist suggested that this would be the perfect time to brighten the old chompers. They have the Zoom system. I did some reading and the Internet said lots of things good and bad with pricing from $125 to $700. Hmmm.

So I volunteered. I brushed with a special sensitive tooth for 2 weeks. On the morning of the Zoom (today), the technician put this big plastic round thing in my mouth exposing my teeth. She then packed my gums with a lot of cotton. My gums were then painted with a barrier and my teeth painted with the whitening agent. The blue light helps the agent work harder. This was done 4 times. So far the teeth are whiter. The immediate after effects are whiter teeth and pain tinges every 3-5 minutes for... I'll let you know .  I have to wait 7 days to have red wine, mustard, ketchup, ... any food that stains.

UPDATE: The pain tinges were gone the next morning.  Sweet.

Vino 100 is a great place to hang and drink some wine. I got Yovav to have a taste of Pinot Noir. Mikey likes it. I tasted the Canon Ball Cabernet Sauvignon, Nob Hob Pinot Noir, Layer Cake Primativo Zinfandel, ABC Riesling. Mmmm.

Reno High School 30th reunion for the class of 1980

You all know that I graduated with from Wooster High school (go Colts). But you might not know that I went my first 2 years (1.5) to Reno High (go Huskies). I went to my Wooster HS reunion two weeks ago and it was the best. This week I went to the Reno HS reunion at the Coney Island Bar and it was also the best. I actually knew a ton of people - Great fun!

Sisyphus was made to roll a huge rock up a steep hill, but before he could reach the top of the hill, the rock would always roll back down. This is the same story of these rock stacks on the hill next to work. Once in a while someone builds these and the next day someone knocks them down.  I met a guy named Dave with a couple of dogs that told me this story and how it relates to these rocks.
