Brewing a Guinness clone at Dean's

Today was brewing day at Dean's. Sean brought his new brewing kettle (converted keg) and Conical Fermenter to brew a Guinness clone. Go over to Sparks Nevada Home Brew's blog to see the daily images from this session. I hope we get a good brew from this. I tasted the malt extract first and it was sweet and malty and I then tasted the cooked wort and it was sweetly bad. Time for the yeast to do their job and convert those sugars to alcohol. I'll give you an update in a couple of weeks. -yo

At my wife's dog store there is this bucket of Gumby action figures, at least I think they are action figures (?). I had just heard that morning that Art Clokey (Creater of Gumby) had passed away and I wanted to take a photo that would show Gumby saying goodby. This is before some sweet dog gets one of these as a gift and tears it's arms off. I received 83 views in a New York minute. Nice.
