We stopped at Hallelujah Junction, California for the permit and lotto ticket.  We then drove to Beckworth California and followed the Beckworth Genevieve road East for 7-8 miles and snagged this 16' beauty. It looked 8' in the forest but that was among the 80 ft old trees.  I also saw some Redwoods and Ponderosa Pines.  Quite the forest we have so close.  We took our new dog Samson and he loved every minute except the ride home.   More pictures to come when I get to raid the girls cameras.

Kitta was lost to a big coyote tonight

Our poor Kitta was taken tonight by a huge coyote that I saw heading out of the yard.  Boone was also missing but eventialy came home.
