Cracked open a 2005 Hatcher Mourvedre. Mmmm
Several years ago Krissy, her sister Linda, Lindas' husband Jerry and I went for a wine tasting weekend in Murphys California. This is the last of the wine cache brought back from three years ago. See my entry.

Reno High School 30th reunion for the class of 1980
You all know that I graduated with from Wooster High school (go Colts). But you might not know that I went my first 2 years (1.5) to Reno High (go Huskies). I went to my Wooster HS reunion two weeks ago and it was the best. This week I went to the Reno HS reunion at the Coney Island Bar and it was also the best. I actually knew a ton of people - Great fun!

Sisyphus was made to roll a huge rock up a steep hill, but before he could reach the top of the hill, the rock would always roll back down. This is the same story of these rock stacks on the hill next to work. Once in a while someone builds these and the next day someone knocks them down. I met a guy named Dave with a couple of dogs that told me this story and how it relates to these rocks.

a simple Monday for just messing around
I played Tiger Woods 2008 for the XBOX 360 and half my shots were at PAR!!!! first time for that. The other half were double PAR.
We went over to Krissy's moms house for a little after the July 4th BBQ and E shows up to take some photos. She is very cute!

Mojave passenger
Krissy was driving through the Mojave portion of our trip going home on California highway 14. I was staring out the window looking at the huge empty desert blurring by and it completely reminded me of when as a kid driving this route and being completely bored. That's why the black and white.

lunch with Scott Logsdon in LA
Scott Logsdon and I just happened to be in LA on the July 4th weekend at the same time. We are rarely in the same place, same time ever. Tami Scott's wife, Scott's sister Kim and Scott's youngest daughter Amber met me for lunch. It was great to see them all. I sure do miss having Scott around.

I've finished Alan Wake on the Xbox 360!
This is a great game! I saw it at the Red Box and played the entire day. Mad and I immediately went out and bought it. According to Wikipedia; "The plot follows suspense-thriller writer Alan Wake in uncovering the mystery behind the disappearance of his wife while on vacation in idyllic small-town Bright Falls, and having to deal with blackouts and visions of characters and ideas from his latest novel, which he can't remember writing, coming to life."
I have been playing for 3 -4 weeks now and finally I have finished it today! On my profile I broke the script and couldn't continue without starting over. Even though this happened I truly enjoyed the game. The ending of the game is not so clear so I will have to go online and see what
everybody thinks. 5 stars *****
I watched the prequel to Alan Wake and even more questions arise.

M lost her retainers and guess where
She searched the whole house, the cars, anywhere but guess where we found them. After we dug in the trash for a half an hour there they were. Yea!

Layer Cake from Argentina is procducing some fine wine, Malbec
I was digging around the grocery store for a new wine and noticed the Layer Cake Malbec 100%. It happened to be on sale from $18 to $12. I do love a good Malbec and I was not dissapointed. This wine was very smooth and had a lovely taste. A definate re-buy. My birthday is coming up so maybe a case of this will show up on my doorstrep. Hmmm.. or Mmmmm. You will not be dissapointed.
