IGT gave me dugout tickets, awesome!

I got great tickets from my employer as a atta-boy for a project that I did.

Taking the elevator down to the ground floor to get into the dugout seating.
Right behind home base, again Fantastic.  It was 95 degrees but well worth it.  If you get a chance take an umbrella.

Here is some information about the Reno Aces Dugout Club:

I believe IGT has 4 corporate seats right behind home plate.  These are open air seats accessed by the elevator, back stairs or walking down the normal stairs on both sides. It got hot in the sun so bring sunscreen, hat and ideally an umbrella.  There is a bit of shade along the back wall so I asked for a chair and was able to sit there to cool off several times during the game.  There are private bathrooms just inside the "cool" tunnel that seem to be unknown.  As far as privileges there are not many other than free popcorn, peanuts and tootsie rolls (got really soft sitting in the sun) and a person to fetch you food and drink at normal cost.  All in all it should be a great time for anyone getting these tickets!  I would love to get these again or even pay to sit in this section.

The Hawes cabin in Skowhegan, Maine

This is the Hawes cabin that I visited as a child with my step dad, George Hawes III.  These four photos were a great surprise from Georges brother Dave and wife Barbara.  I would love to visit some day.

Maddie and I had a bonfire this Sunday until it got too dark to see.

I had to put up the umbrella to keep the fire going.

hail in May or at least half-way to June

With everyone asleep, sitting quietly reading my blog feeds on a cloudy, dark Sunday morning I hear the falling of hail right outside the window.  Isn't supposed to be May? Yep in Northern Nevada it does this at anytime of the year.  I'm still going to plant some nice cherry tomatoes today even though you're supposed to "plant when clear of frost", never.

Also, back to those blog feeds.  I just found a great one, "Strange Geographies" at. http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/category/strange-geographies  So of his entries are from right around here, well a bit south but fairly close.

kids pulled the fire alarm a the dog store

Saturday afternood I was helping Krissy and Maddie at Scraps and the fire alarm started going off. A 12-13 year old kid and firends ran by the door with some guy trailing behind him.
Yes they caught them. The alarm went on for 45 minutes.

Total Wine Grand Opening

WOW is all I can say about the Total Wine grand opening.  I find all the large and small wineries from Chilean and South American wines that I love.  Carmener and Malbec.

$6 checks

Somewhere, somehow I've misplaced 100 shares of my company's stock.  It is not in a brokerage account that I can find because all the known dividends, also meager amounts, are accounted for. So they are lost.  My company around 20 or so years ago used to give us stock certificates with their employee stock purchase plan and over time I submitted the certificates to brokerage accounts and all is good.  Well, I must have lost one.  Four times a year I get a dividend check for $6 and I cash it in for a cheep lunch.  Now I'm sure that there is information somewhere on the stub that I could find how to fix this but a free lunch every three months is kind of nice.  Ignorance is bliss in this case.

I found a photo online that was my first car,

This 1964 Dodge Dart Station Wagon looks very similar to the one that I had as a hand-me-down. That is except for the missing luggage rack, the wild flame job that my friends and I worked so tirelessly on and the big tires and traction bars. Damn I miss that car. Hmmmm not really.
